In my youth politics was not even on my radar. Going to the beach, golfing, paddle boarding and traveling was, and is, what I love to do. As the years went by, I finished school, got a job, had a baby, pay taxes, bought and sold houses, got married, got divorced, got married again to my best friend, have traveled to some pretty awesome places, and my interest in politics grew. I am not a 'constitutional scholar', nor do I profess to be, however, I spend a great deal of time reading and taking college courses to better understand what our founding father's intended when they wrote the Constitution. I don't rely on comedians, celebrities nor local news agencies to understand what is happening around the world today. I understand we have 'staunch' Democrats and 'staunch' Republicans, but our world has changed and most of those in both 'party affiliations' remain unchanged. I believe we should stay true to our constitution, because if you think about it, our constitution has kept some sense of order here in our United States. As new leaders get elected, supreme court justices appointed, and policy change, we are rarely aware, or have time to pay attention to these changes. Whether we look at facts or base our opinions purely on emotion, the ramifications of who we elect to represent us have a direct affect on our life, our kids, nieces, nephews, mothers, fathers, etc. With the advantage of the internet, and combing through fact and fiction, I've created this blog to express my personal views on the state of our country. I consider it a 'political blog for dummies', and I don't mean that in a negative way. We live in a fast pace, 'right now' world and this blog will give a quick look at what is happening in our world today. I might be labeled as "conservative", but that connotation would not be exactly correct, there are many social issues, I am in line with as far as the left is concerned, but with that being said, the left is getting so far left, my opinion is changing. I simply believe that "big Government" is not good, (DMV, TSA, Veterans Affairs, etc.) are nothing but a huge cluster F&*&. Take a look around, there is not one Government Agency that is held 'accountable' for their actions. The difference between the Private Sector and the Government is; if you work in the Private Sector, you are held accountable for your actions. When the public demands good service, and products, they will continue to patronize those companies, stores, restaurants, airlines, hotels, etc. Success breeds success. With bloated Government agencies, people rarely are accountable and it is very difficult to measure success and failures. View all posts by julescornerusa
